Good to know
Is this an official noise map?+
No. Official noise maps are drawn every five years, often from old traffic, and show 24-hour averages in broad bands. We start from every recorded flight of the last year and estimate the noise at your exact spot, using the same calculation method (ECAC Doc 29) European airports use for their maps. It is an independent estimate, made to compare places and to understand what living there is like.
Where does the flight data come from?+
Aircraft broadcast their position and height (ADS-B). Volunteer receivers collect these messages and ADSB.lol publishes them. We store every flight, find each landing and take-off and its runway, and complete the last kilometres that receivers miss near the ground.
How long does it take?+
Usually a few hours. We email you a private link to the web report, and the PDF.
Which airports can I choose?+
107 airports in 26 European countries today, anywhere within 20 km of the airport. We only offer an airport when the flight data there is complete enough; more are added as coverage improves. Write to team@apptractor.dev to ask for yours.
Can I share the report?+
Yes. Your report has a private link that only you have. Send it to your partner, your agent or your lawyer, or send the PDF.
What if something is wrong?+
